Key Issues for Campaign Templates

NOTE: This will probably be the most difficult part of the software for novice and non-technical users. The templates page opens with the option to develop your HTML templates using either a Visual or WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor, or to develop templates using straightforward HTML code.

Some key points about this software and proper functionality:

Generally, the software is designed to utilize an existing webpage or landing page or web template somewhere on your server. From there, the software adds a dimension of personalization, tracking and reporting to those web pages. THIS SOFTWARE IS NOT INTENDED AS A WEB AUTHORING TOOL! (There are lots of software packages out there that do that better than we ever could.)

Okay, some tips:

When using CSS stylesheets, and pages with lots of graphics and dynamic content (like FLASH, etc)

*** Use only FULLY QUALIFIED URLS in your html templates!!! ***
In other words:
GOOD: “http://www.SomeDomain.com/images/logo.jpg”
BAD: “/images/logo.jpg”

So, if your HTML contains sections of code that look something like this:

It REALLY SHOULD READ SOMETHING LIKE THIS:

If you do not use fully qualified URLS in your HTML code, chances are the software will not produce the kind of robust result that you are seeking.
